Financial Analyst

Seeking individual with a strong financial analyst background, commercially minded, and possessing excellent communication skills.

MARS Recruitment has collaborated with a respected not-for-profit organisation in the pursuit of an exceptional Financial Analyst. This pivotal role involves delivering prompt and proactive analyses to senior leadership, aiding in their decision-making processes. As a key member of the team, you will offer essential financial support to the business by identifying influential industry factors, creating models to forecast long-term growth, analysing trends, and investigating unexpected variances. Responsibilities also include reporting and monitoring business performance metrics related to revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditure, as well as contributing to monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, and participating in budget creation and cashflow forecast maintenance.

They are seeking an individual with strong analytical abilities, a commercial mindset, creative thinking skills, and exceptional communication capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to the Board
  • Manage the budget and forecasting procedures to ensure timely delivery
  • Undertaking a comprehensive quarterly review process
  • Perform monthly analysis, and reporting, with a specific emphasis on gaining insight into the fundamental business drivers
  • Prepare scenario modelling of long-term forecast
  • Perform ad-hoc scenario analyses on transactions and projects
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align business strategy with financial goals
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making processes
  • Drive financial performance and operational excellence initiatives


Criteria:

  • 6+ years' experience in financial analysis
  • CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA qualified
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools i.e. Hyperion / Essbase / BI
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
