MARS Recruitment is excited to collaborate with a Construction company seeking a Financial Accountant for a permanent role. This position involves managing and supporting the company's financial accounting framework to ensure adherence to monthly reporting, statutory requirements, and tax obligations.

The Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Aid in compiling monthly management accounts and Board reports.
• Calculate accrued revenue and post journals for entities.
• Assist in compiling year-end accounts and fulfilling audit requirements.
• Manage GST/BAS/FBT completions and lodgements.
• Assist in preparing income tax returns.
• Supervise the completeness and accuracy of the fixed assets register.

The Requirements:

• Newly CA or CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Confident & collaborative communicator.
• Self-motivated and intuitively natured.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems, including but not limited to QuickBooks, SAP and Excel.
• Familiarity with Australian taxation and accounting standards.
