Finance Manager | Non-Bank Lender

MARS Recruitment is working exclusively with a dynamic and fast-growing financial services organisation to recruit a talented Finance Manager. This pivotal role will lead management reporting, drive financial insights to support strategic decision-making, and oversee the end-to-end finance operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls.

They're seeking a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a process improvement mindset, and the confidence to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting to support commercial decision-making across the business.
  • Manage financial planning activities, including preparing budgets and forecasts that track performance and support strategic objectives.
  • Play a strategic role in supporting the execution of group-wide initiatives aimed at driving growth and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily cashbooks to facilitate accurate cash flow management.
  • Drive pricing optimisation by enhancing internal processes and developing frameworks that improve the business's ability to understand, analyse, and optimise product and fund pricing.
  • Ensure timely and compliant settlement funding, including overseeing daily approvals and coordinating regular drawdowns.
  • Support finance operations by overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
  • Maintain and monitor the finance calendar, ensuring all key reporting deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance in line with the organisation's Finance Process Guide.
  • Provide proactive finance support to internal and external stakeholders, helping customers achieve their finance-related goals.

About You:

  • CA or CPA qualified, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Substantial management/financial reporting experience, within a bank, non-bank lender or broader financial services.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence key business decisions.
  • Comfortable and confident working in a smaller, fast-paced organisation, where adaptability and a hands-on approach are essential.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong time management and the ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, high-growth setting, bringing energy, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to evolving business needs.
  • Commercially astute and motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

To Note:

  • Experience in a bank, non-bank lender or financial services is an essential requirement for this role.
  • They operate a hybrid work model of 2-3 days in their CBD office.
  • Shorter notice periods are preferred.
