Finance Manager

Join a well-established and growing financial services organisation with a strong presence in the Australian lending and securitisation market. An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and take ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance across the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring a small finance team
• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Overseeing cash flow and liquidity management
• Maintaining general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing monthly management reporting, including warehouse and securitisation structures
• Assisting with monthly financial reporting and analysis
• Coordinating tax compliance activities including GST, FBT, PAYG and income tax
• Managing regulatory reporting and statutory compliance obligations
• Supporting annual audit and financial statement preparation
• Providing technical accounting guidance and financial control expertise
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies
• Participating in finance transformation and reporting enhancement projects
• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data within MYOB

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in a finance leadership or senior financial accounting role
• Experience within financial services, lending, banking, funds management or a related industry
• Strong financial control, reporting and compliance experience
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Advanced reconciliation and general ledger management skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
