Mars Recruitment is partnering with a well established, purpose driven organisation to appoint a commercially minded Finance Manager into a broad and highly visible position.
Working closely with the COO and executive leadership team, you'll play a key role in driving financial performance, leading process improvements and supporting business growth through insightful commercial partnering.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing operational finance with strategic project work. While you'll remain close to the day to day financial operations, a significant portion of your role will focus on automation, business improvement and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.

The Opportunity
You'll become the finance lead for the business, helping to improve reporting, strengthen financial controls, identify efficiencies and deliver projects from concept through to implementation. This is far more than a traditional month end reporting role.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial and financial advice.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and monthly reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve financial processes.
• Deliver finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare board reporting, financial modelling and business cases.
• Oversee payroll, compliance and financial controls.
• Improve financial literacy across operational teams and influence business decision making.
• Drive system enhancements and process optimisation across the finance function.

About You
You'll ideally bring:

• Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Finance Business Partner.
• Strong commercial partnering experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• A track record delivering finance transformation, automation or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
• Confidence operating in both hands on finance and strategic project environments.
• Advanced Excel skills together with experience using ERP systems such as Xero or similar.
• CA or CPA qualification preferred.
