An opportunity for a hands-on Finance Manager to join a small, growing financial services business in Melbourne. This role offers exposure to overseas listed-company reporting standards, treasury, tax, and strategic finance in a nimble, collaborative environment.

The company operates in SME and commercial lending. The Melbourne office is small, but works closely with a regional group finance team, and offers the ability to shape processes and contribute meaningfully to growth.

About the role

• Reporting to the CEO, you'll manage an Accounts Executive and support the business across accounting, tax, treasury, reporting, and strategic planning
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with commentary and insights for key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance and accuracy across internal controls, statutory reporting, and tax obligations
• Manage the tax function, including tax planning and structuring and overseeing the preparation and submission of returns and tax compliance
• Manage the treasury function, including all aspects of cash flow planning, debt capital management (raising, planning, allocation and administration), equity capital allocation and capital structuring
• Lead process improvements and system integrations, including the loan management system with the accounting platform

What we're looking for

• CPA or CA qualified
• Lending or business finance experience, including loan accounting, accruals, interest calculations, and fee amortisation experience.
• Strong tax knowledge
• Fund accounting exposure would be beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable working with multicultural teams across Australia and Asia
