About The Role

MARS are partnering with an established organisation that's looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to partner closely with operational and executive stakeholders while leading a critical costing function.

This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and commercial insight, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and drive continuous improvement across costing frameworks and financial processes. Reporting to a senior finance leader, the role provides high visibility and meaningful impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior point of accountability for costing activities across a multi-site operating environment
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team across costing and operational finance roles
• Deliver clear, actionable cost insights to senior leaders to support commercial decisions
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting, and financial outcomes
• Drive enhancements to costing methodologies, policies, and internal controls
• Analyse trends and variances, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives
• Support strategic projects relating to systems, processes, and financial optimisation
• Contribute to audit, compliance, and governance requirements
• Support month-end close activities and broader finance operations as required

About You:

• CA or CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience across accounting and finance, with strong cost accounting exposure
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Deep understanding of costing principles and end-to-end costing processes
• Demonstrated success improving costing frameworks and methodologies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded, proactive, and confident managing competing priorities
• Exposure to complex operational or multi-site environments advantageous
• Confident working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel - financial modelling experience is advantageous.

• Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this role
• They operate in the office 4-5 days a week and have free parking onsite
