Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner


Location: Melbourne City Fringe | 5 days onsite
Contract: 9 month fixed term
Start: Ideally mid-March


An opportunity to join an Australian-founded consumer retailer with an international footprint.

This is a hands-on Finance Business Partner role supporting a high-profile brand within a multi-brand retail group, with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and commercial decision-making.



About the role

Reporting into senior commercial finance leadership, you will partner closely with brand leadership and functions including Marketing, Product, Visual Merchandise and Wholesale.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly review and analysis of brand P&L against budget and projection, including clear variance commentary
• Preparation of management summaries and insights for senior stakeholders
• Cost centre reporting, analysis and cost control discussions with budget owners
• Monthly, seasonal and annual projections, including challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment to commercial plans
• Supporting the preparation of budgets and board-level reporting
• Driving process improvements to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy and timeliness

About you

• CA or CPA qualified
• Proven retail experience is essential
• Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting and projections
• Comfortable working through large volumes of data with accuracy and structure
• Available to start ASAP
