The team supports AML and financial crime monitoring initiatives and is focused on improving reporting standards and operational insight.

Based in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. 10 Month Day Rate Contract.

The Role

This is a hands on Data Analyst role within a financial services and AML focused environment.

You will support the development of Power BI dashboards, assist with SQL based data extraction and use Excel to analyse and validate operational and transaction monitoring data. A key focus will be reporting across IT ticketing, operational performance and AML related monitoring activity.

Working closely with senior analysts and stakeholders across risk, compliance and technology, you will contribute to improving reporting accuracy and strengthening data driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting outputs
• Write and modify SQL queries to extract and validate data
• Use Excel to support analysis, reconciliation and reporting
• Assist with AML and transaction monitoring reporting initiatives
• Support rule based monitoring analysis and alert performance tracking
• Work with stakeholders to translate data into clear insights

Candidate Experience

• Experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst or BI Analyst role
• Working knowledge of Power BI and dashboard development
• Practical SQL experience for querying and data extraction
• Exposure to financial services, AML or financial crime environments desirable
