Our client is a leading organisation within the resources sector with a significant pipeline of capital projects across its WA operations.

An opportunity is available for an experienced Contracts Specialist to join a high-performing project procurement team, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

About the Role

You will provide end-to-end contracts and procurement support across a portfolio of capital projects.

This is a commercially focused role combining strategic sourcing and contract formation with hands-on post-award contract management. You will work closely with project delivery teams and contractors, providing commercial advice and ensuring contracts are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement and contracting activities across capital projects
• Develop sourcing and contracting strategies for project packages
• Manage tender processes, evaluations, commercial negotiations and contract awards
• Draft and negotiate construction, services, supply and consultancy agreements
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project delivery teams
• Undertake post-award contract administration and contractor management
• Assess and manage contractor claims, variations and contractual entitlements
• Support commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
• Monitor contractor compliance and commercial performance
• Build strong relationships across project, procurement and contractor stakeholder groups
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the contract lifecycle

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Strong contracts and procurement experience within resources, mining, construction or major projects
• Demonstrated post-award claims management experience
• Strong understanding of variations, contractual entitlement and commercial negotiations
• Tendering, evaluation, contract drafting and negotiation capability
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide practical contractual advice
• Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Law, Commercial Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
