MARS Recruitment is partnering with a growing resources organisation seeking a Procurement & Contracts Specialist to join their commercial team in Perth.

This is a key role within the organisation's supply chain function, responsible for managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives and providing expert contract guidance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for managing the full contracting lifecycle and providing commercial support to key stakeholders, including:

• Leading end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes, including RFx development, market engagement, commercial evaluation, negotiations and contract award
  
• Developing sourcing strategies across a range of goods and services categories
  
• Preparing and negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers and service providers
  
• Providing commercial and contractual advice to operational and project stakeholders
  
• Supporting cost optimisation initiatives and identifying opportunities for tangible savings
  
• Managing post-award contract administration (operational), including performance monitoring and contract closeout
  
• Participating in supplier performance reviews and commercial discussions
  
• Contributing to governance frameworks that ensure contracting activities remain compliant and commercially sound

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring strong commercial capability and experience managing complex contractual arrangements within a resources environment.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in contracts or procurement roles, ideally within mining or heavy industry
  
• Proven experience managing source-to-contract activities for goods and services
  
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract development capability
  
• Experience managing supplier relationships and contract performance
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
