MARS is partnering with an Australian organisation to appoint an experienced Company Accountant on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the company's end-to-end accounting function within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Company Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, overseeing payroll and tax compliance, and contributing to the organisation's financial planning and analysis.

The Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure the accuracy of invoicing
• Manage payroll processing across both weekly and monthly cycles
• Oversee month-end close processes and financial reporting
• Manage fixed asset registers and related accounting processes
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports
• Oversee inventory accounting and reporting processes
• Manage Accounts Payable functions
• Support tax-related activities, including BAS and payroll, in collaboration with the Tax Accountant

The Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (experience with Xero is highly desirable)
• Previous experience in a hands-on accounting role with strong attention to detail

To Note:

• Flexible working arrangement with 1 day in the office per week (North Ryde)
• Part-time role - 3 days per week
• Candidates with shorter notice periods will be highly regarded
