Community Engagement Consultant

Design and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage).

Our client is leading the energy transition with a goal to achieve net zero emissions by 2045. In Australia, their work spans flexible power generation, energy retail, and advanced energy management solutions, alongside an expanding portfolio in hydrogen, battery storage, wind, and solar projects.

Duration: 6 month temp contract, full time hours

Location: Southbank

Flexible working with regional travel and interstate regularly

The key functions of the role are:

  • Design and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage).
  • Coordinate and facilitate community meetings and stakeholder briefings to gather feedback and improve outcomes for local communities, including regular travel regionally and interstate.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (government, councils, industry groups, community, First Nations representatives) to support engagement and participation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory obligations related to social performance, ESG, and health, safety, and environment standards.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support the role.
