Commercial Analyst

• Location: Inner suburbs | 4 days office (initially 5 during probation)

A newly created, high-impact role in a healthcare environment where commercial insight genuinely influences operational decisions. This position has been identified as a key gap in the structure and will work closely with senior finance and executive leadership.

You will:

• Build and revamp financial models, aligning them to monthly accounting recognition
• Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks across clinics, labour, utilisation, opex and margins
• Analyse high-volume transactional data to drive pricing, revenue and cost optimisation
• Create labour and workforce planning frameworks, including FTE, overtime, mix and payroll analysis
• Cost procedures end-to-end, consolidating clinical inputs, consumables and staffing levers to determine true margin
• Deliver ROI analysis, business cases and commercial proposals
• Partner with executives and clinic leaders to interpret data and influence decisions
• Move reporting capability from Excel-heavy processes into smarter Power BI dashboards

It's a high-transaction, multi-layered environment where curiosity and commercial acumen matter. You'll need to enjoy slicing and dicing data, building frameworks from scratch and challenging how things are currently done.

About you:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Financial Accounting background and 3+ years in commercial or finance analysis
• Healthcare or hospital experience
• Strong modelling skills
• Strong Power BI capability
• Comfortable operating in a lean team where everyone rolls up their sleeves
