We are currently recruiting for a Collections Officer to join the Collections & Financial Assistance team of a leading financial services organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with collections, customer service or financial services experience who enjoys problem-solving, negotiation and working in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing inbound and outbound calls and emails
• Managing a ledger of delinquent contracts, with a focus on curing arrears
• Providing a high level of customer service across all contact points
• Managing bankruptcy and liquidation matters and ensuring relevant processes are followed
• Maintaining accurate registers and documentation
• Supporting AFCA processes and ensuring actions are followed through
• Negotiating payment arrangements and resolving customer issues

About you

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in collections, credit, financial services or customer service
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflict professionally
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and administration skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of bankruptcy, liquidation or legal processes would be highly regarded.
