Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a 4-5 month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and support key finance activities during a busy period.
The role is primarily based in Mornington Peninsula, with the potential for flexibility to work from the South Melbourne office for part of the week. A hybrid working arrangement is also available.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journals
Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
Assist with month-end reporting
Support audit and financial reporting activities
Balance sheet reconciliations
General accounting support as required
About You
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role
Strong experience with journals and reconciliations
Exposure to fixed asset accounting
Audit and/or financial reporting experience will be highly regarded
Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
Available to commence at short notice
