MARS Recruitment is partnering with a global organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their Perth team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile contracts, collaborate with operational teams, and gain valuable experience in a complex and fast-paced commercial environment.

Duties

• Manage invoicing, reconciliations and revenue tracking from purchase order through to payment.
• Assist with month-end processes, including P&L preparation, analysis, and accurate journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, management reports, and financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with site and operational teams to improve billing efficiency and develop robust commercial processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and contract compliance activities, including price escalations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance commercial and financial processes.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Accounting or Commerce,
• Proven accounting experience in a private or public company setting.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Oracle system experience highly regarded.
• CPA qualification or working towards it will be well regarded.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
