Accounts Receivable Officer

We're partnering with an organisation to recruit an Accounts Receivable Officer for an initial 9-month fixed-term contract, with a potential opportunity for the role to become permanent.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career Accounts Receivable professional who has around 1-2 years' experience and is looking to build on their existing skills within a supportive and established Finance team.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing debtor accounts and monitoring outstanding balances
• Following up outstanding payments and assisting with cash flow management
• Receipting and allocating customer payments
• Completing account reconciliations
• Setting up new customer accounts and assisting with credit applications
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
• Responding to and resolving customer and internal queries
• Preparing ad hoc debtor reports
• Assisting with audit and compliance requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement across Accounts Receivable processes

About you

You'll be someone who is reliable, committed, proactive and genuinely keen to learn. The team is happy to provide training and support, so you don't need to have every aspect of AR mastered from day one.

Ideally, you will have:

• Approximately 1-2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar transactional finance role
• A good understanding of core AR processes
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good Excel skills and confidence working across accounting systems
• Power BI experience would be highly regarded, although it is not essential.
