MARS Recruitment is partnering with a growing Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-volume team, drive process improvements, and take ownership of the AP function in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable team to deliver operational excellence
Oversee invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end activities
Manage supplier and internal stakeholder relationships efficiently
Drive process improvements, including standardisation, automation, and workflow optimisation
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture
What We're Looking For:
Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience with large ERP systems and a focus on continuous improvement
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
