Senior Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing healthcare organisation experiencing significant growth across Australia. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality care and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer to join their finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting the wider finance team with reconciliations, reporting, and administration duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices with precision, ensuring timely, accurate recording across multiple entities and maintaining tight control over overdue invoices.
  • Manage daily bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving exceptions within tight timeframes and ensuring supporting documentation is obtained and compliant.
  • Execute weekly payment runs accurately and on schedule, monitoring cash balances and working with the Finance Manager to manage cash flow requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing, reviewing agreements, budgets, and activity to ensure revenue is billed in line with agreed terms.
  • Process and reconcile participant payments daily, ensuring compensation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with data.
  • Maintain strong financial governance and compliance, ensuring all transactions adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and Australian accounting standards

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or all-round Accounts Officer position
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems ideally Xero
