MARS Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Payroll & Accounts Officer to join a busy finance team.

You'll play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while also supporting core accounting functions. This role offers genuine variety, exposure across the broader finance team, and the opportunity to work with established systems, including Pronto.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you'll be part of a supportive team where accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing and maintenance of payroll records
• Managing timesheets, leave, superannuation, and payroll reconciliations
• Responding to payroll queries and supporting employees and managers
• Accounts payable processing, including supplier invoice management
• Assisting with accounts receivable and payment allocations
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting month-end reporting and finance activities
• Maintaining accurate financial and employee data
• Working within ERP systems, including Pronto
• Supporting process improvements across payroll and finance functions

About You

You are someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and detail, and takes pride in accurate and timely output.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in payroll processing
• Exposure to accounts payable, or broader finance roles
• Experience using Pronto or similar ERP/accounting systems (highly regarded)
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
