  • Assist with the group centralisation of the accounts payable function and standardise the accounts payable processes
  • Development and maintenance of the group account payable policy and procedures
  • Providing support to the Group Accounts Payable Manager
  • Provide support to accounts payable with a key focus on improvements within their business units
  • Reviewing and resolve outstanding invoices and working closely with Operations Team
  • Ensuing all rebates are calculated correctly and deducted from monthly payments
  • Ensuring all non-stock related invoices are approved and processed
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts where required
  • Reviewing supplier statements with aged debt and providing recommendations each month
  • Maintaining and updating process documentation/workflows
  • Prepare, process and provide supporting documentation for journal entries/payments
  • Resolve escalated external & internal stakeholder issues

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can deliver exceptional customer service through cooperation and understanding of customer needs
  • Secondary School qualifications
  • Working with multiple ERP systems – Large to Small
  • 5 years minimum experience in Accounts Payable function
  • Previous Team Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in processing large volumes of transactional data and skills in capturing, exporting, importing and maintaining information using various software
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and general ledger
  • Expert knowledge of Accounts Payable function
  • The ability to respond to requests in an effective and timely manner within a busy environment

Junior AP Officer

Our client is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Officer. They are a consulting practice, and provide accounting services for their clients. This AP Officer will work for a client in the healtcare industry.

The responsibilities for this role include working through the invoices from their client’s department – what’s expected to have been received from suppliers, see what’s paid and what’s not paid, what may have been paid for a different cost centre (ie Covid), what needs accruing, what was expected to have been paid (ie budgeted for) and may not have been invoiced.

The client is looking for someone who is able to work independently, has previous AP experience and skills, and ideally experience in using Oracle.
