Occupational Therapist – Narellan – Adult Caseload

MARS Recruitment is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their growing team in South-West Sydney. Full time preferred, however Part Time may be available for the right candidate. Experience is a bonus, however coaching and mentoring will be available to assist you become a competent and knowledgeable therapist. You will also join a team of allied health professionals to learn from and work with.

The role will involve:

  • Providing community based Occupational Therapy Assessments – Care Needs Assessments, Home Assessments for minor modifications, Assessments for Assistive Technology.
  • The ability to offer ongoing support, with a collaborative goal to improve the quality of life of patients.
  • To support patients with provision of therapy/ capacity.
  • To be efficient in report writing & Assistive Technology applications
  • The opportunity to develop skills in Major Home Modifications (if not experienced in this)
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate and work closely with clients and their families to achieve their goals.
  • Knowledge of working under NDIS, Medicare, Private and compensable insurance schemes.

What’s required:

  • A current degree in Occupational Therapy or to be completed in 2021
  • Eligible for unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  • Eligible to provide services under Medicare
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • To have or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Check
  • Current Drivers’ License & own car
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Prior experience or placement in disability/ community OT

Physiotherapist – South West Sydney

MARS Healthcare are currently in search of a Physiotherapist to join a leading private organisation.

Our client are looking for a Physiotherapist to join their growing practice. They are a multidisciplinary team that includes: Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Personal Trainers

Position Summary
The Physiotherapist role is to provide clinical assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal and pain related conditions, best practice approaches, innovative solutions, and commitment to the customer regarding their health outcomes. Identify local areas of need relating developing programs targeted groups of clients. Undertake health promotion activities as required and contribute to the promotion of the service to relevant groups in the local community.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal and pain related conditions
  • Be committed to the health outcomes of the patient, rebooking, and servicing them as required to achieve their outcome.
  • Provide high level customer service to customers at all times.
  • Keep professional notes up to date and thorough as per legal requirements.
  • Ensure all communication to doctors, insurance companies and third-party suppliers is up to date.
  • Provide assessments for personal training clients as required.
  • Undertake health promotion activities
  • Contribute to the promotion of the service to relevant groups
  • Attend community events including local meetings, sports group meetings and pain group meetings.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures, practices and organisational goals and objectives
  • Attendance at all staff group and individual meetings.
  • Maintain communication with other practitioners of the multi discipline team regarding shared clients.
  • Participate in the growth the physiotherapy clinic.

Qualifications and Registration

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent studies
  • Australian Physiotherapy Council and approved by AHPRA for registration
  • Personal Public Indemnity Insurance
  • WWCC
  • Police Check
