MARS Recruitment is partnering with an established global financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into their Sydney finance team.

This is a broad role with an APAC focus, providing exposure across multiple entities and jurisdictions within a complex international finance environment.

The Role:

• Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting
• Month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and review of financial statements
• Supporting statutory reporting and external audit requirements
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring reporting accuracy
• Supporting regulatory and compliance-related reporting where required
• Working closely with finance and wider business stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting

About You:

• Previous audit or Financial Accounting experience, ideally within financial services or another complex corporate environment
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting
• Experience across month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident - sponsorship is not available for this position
