MARS Recruitment is partnering with a large, operationally focused organisation to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager.

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for developing and executing the procurement strategy across a diverse business.

You will strengthen procurement capability, improve commercial outcomes and ensure the business has robust supplier, contract and governance frameworks in place to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the procurement strategy aligned with operational and commercial objectives
  
• Lead strategic sourcing and category management across major areas of expenditure
  
• Identify and deliver sustainable cost savings, cost avoidance and total cost of ownership improvements
  
• Lead complex tenders, commercial negotiations and strategic supplier agreements
  
• Develop and strengthen supplier relationship and performance management frameworks
  
• Establish procurement policies, processes, governance and approval frameworks
  
• Increase spend under contract and improve contract management across the organisation
  
• Analyse spend, market conditions and supplier performance to identify commercial opportunities and risks
  
• Support procurement risk management and supplier due diligence
  
• Lead, coach and develop procurement team members while building capability across the wider business
  
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement systems, processes and ways of working

About You:

• You will be an experienced Procurement or Commercial leader who combines strong commercial capability with the ability to influence operational stakeholders
• Strong strategic sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management capability
  
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, contract management and commercial risk
  
• Experience developing or improving procurement frameworks, processes and systems
  
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related discipline
