Senior Administrator

Opportunity for an experienced public practice administrator to join a highly respected Accounting Firm in Melbourne’s CBD.

A highly respected Accounting Firm is seeking a proactive and capable Senior Administrator to lead the administration function and play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of the business. This is far more than a traditional administration role - it's an opportunity to take ownership, influence how things are done, mentor others and contribute to the ongoing success of a growing and dynamic firm.

Working closely with senior leaders, you will be the go-to person for administration excellence, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency and a seamless experience for both clients and employees.

The Opportunity

As the Senior Administrator, you will oversee the day-to-day administration function while supporting key business operations across the firm. You'll work collaboratively with Directors, Managers and internal stakeholders to ensure the business runs efficiently and professionally.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems, improving processes and building strong relationships across all levels of an organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the administration function to ensure exceptional service delivery across the business
  • Create a welcoming and professional client experience
  • Oversee reception and front-of-house operations
  • Maintain office facilities, equipment and workplace presentation
  • Drive continuous improvement of administration processes, systems and procedures
  • Process basic ASIC company changes
  • Prepare and distribute client documentation through digital signing platforms
  • Manage administrative inboxes and ensure timely responses
  • Contribute to special projects and business initiatives as required

About You

You are an experienced administration professional who enjoys taking ownership and leading by example. You are highly organised, solutions-focused and confident working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a senior administration, office management or professional services support role
  • Public practice experience
  • Strong leadership capability and experience mentoring or guiding team members
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Advanced organisational and time management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with BGL CAS 360 (highly regarded)
  • Sound judgement and the ability to manage confidential information
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding internal and external customer service
