Tax & Treasury Accountant | 6 Month Contract

6 Month Contract | $77 per hour + Super | Immediate Start

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Tax & Treasury Accountant to join a large and established organisation on a 6 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available qualified accountant to gain broad exposure across treasury, investment, debt, banking, taxation and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly short term cashflows and recommend foreign currency transfers
• Coordinate treasury payments, term deposit renewals and debt facility activities
• Prepare monthly treasury, debt, investment and net interest reporting
• Assist with intercompany funding arrangements and treasury registers
• Manage banking administration, including NAB Connect user access and bank accounts
• Prepare BAS analysis, activity statements, FBT journals and other tax compliance activities
• Assist with FBT, payroll tax and annual tax reporting
• Prepare information for statutory accounts, external auditors and other reporting requirements
• Prepare committee and board papers as required
• Maintain treasury procedures, registers and team inboxes
• Support budgeting, forecasting and other finance projects as required

About You

• Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience
• Strong attention to detail with a highly organised and methodical approach
• Self starter who learns quickly and takes a solutions focused approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Experience using accounting systems
• Comfortable working across multiple finance functions and stakeholders
• Treasury experience would be highly regarded
• Tax compliance experience is not essential
