Sydney | Newly Created Role | ASX Listed Technology Business
Join a growing ASX listed technology business in a newly created Finance Business Partner position, working closely with the CFO and senior business leaders across Australia and Asia.
This is a genuinely commercial role. You will go beyond explaining the numbers to understand what is driving performance, identify opportunities for improvement and work with business leaders to turn analysis into measurable action.
You will have exposure to a multi entity, multi currency environment across Australia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines, with the opportunity to influence decisions across the wider business.
* Partner with business and country leaders to analyse revenue, margins, costs and operational performance
* Turn financial insights into clear recommendations, action plans and measurable outcomes
* Track agreed initiatives through to completion and hold stakeholders accountable for delivery
* Own and improve management reporting and dashboards used by the business to make decisions
* Identify process, control and commercial inefficiencies and drive improvements through to implementation
* Support cross border finance, tax and commercial matters including transfer pricing and intercompany issues
* Support board, investor and ASX reporting with commercially focused analysis
* Work closely with the CFO on strategic and operational finance initiatives
* Build strong knowledge of NetSuite OneWorld and use the system to drive better reporting and decision making
You will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial instincts and the ability to look beyond the numbers.
You will ideally have:
* CA or equivalent qualification
* Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and translating financial information into business recommendations
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of ambiguous problems
* Experience working across multiple entities, currencies or jurisdictions
* Exposure to Big 4 advisory, management consulting, strategy or another commercially focused environment is highly desirable
* Experience in a customer facing or commercial role would also be advantageous
* NetSuite experience is preferred, although strong commercial capability and the ability to learn quickly are more important
* Newly created role with genuine scope to shape the position
