Finance Operations Controller
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Operations Controller to take ownership of a high-volume finance function within a rapidly growing Australian business.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in managing daily financial operations while helping improve systems, reporting and processes across the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys pace, accountability and finding better ways of doing things.
Key responsibilities include:
* Own daily settlements, including allocation and distribution of funds
* Manage trust and bank reconciliations
* Prepare management reporting, cash flow and operational KPIs
* Develop unit costing and support cost efficiency initiatives
* Drive automation and process improvements across finance
* Manage recovery invoicing and accounts receivable
* Oversee accounts payable and payment runs
* Provide financial analysis and operational support to the CFO
* Identify opportunities to improve controls, workflows and reporting
* Work closely with the CFO and wider executive leadership team
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* 5+ years' experience across finance operations, trust accounting, banking or high-volume transactional finance
* Strong experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Exposure to FP&A and management reporting
* Experience improving or automating finance systems and processes
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Confidence working in a regulated or trust-based environment
* A proactive approach to process improvement
* CA/CPA qualification is desirable but not essential
