FP&A Manager | Boutique Consulting Firm
Client-facing practice leadership: deliver FP&A consulting engagements, drive BD, lead a team, build internal reporting/templates/processes.
About the firm
Our client is a fast-growing boutique consultancy specialising in mining, resources and industrial sectors. They work with some of the biggest names in Australian mining - without the politics, hierarchy or leverage-model grind of the big firms. Remote-first since day one, values-driven, and genuinely low on bureaucracy.
The role
This is the leadership seat for their finance and analytics practice, reporting directly to the COO. It's a client-facing role first and foremost - you'll personally lead and deliver engagements across financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting transformation, economic evaluation, capital allocation and cost reduction programs for major mining and industrial clients.
Alongside delivery, you'll grow the practice: relationship-driven business development (industry events, networks and existing clients - not cold calling), building reusable methodologies and consulting IP, and leading and developing a small team of consultants.
You'll also have the opportunity to build the firm's internal reporting and performance function from the ground up - a true greenfield build with complete creative licence.
About you
Why this role
Genuine variety - no two engagements alike, and no repetitive month-end cycle. Work from anywhere in Australia, with regular in-person strategy weeks. Direct access to the executive team and a real seat at the table. And the chance to shape a growing national practice rather than inherit someone else's.
