We are partnering with a well-established financial services organisation seeking a Collections & Recoveries Officer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in collections, customer service, financial services or credit risk who enjoys balancing customer outcomes with commercial objectives. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will manage a portfolio of customers, helping to resolve outstanding arrears while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

• Manage a portfolio of customers with overdue accounts and outstanding payments.
• Contact customers via phone, email and written correspondence to discuss arrears and agree on suitable repayment solutions.
• Assess customer circumstances and determine appropriate collections strategies.
• Monitor payment arrangements and proactively follow up on missed commitments.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and administrative issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely resolution of cases.
• Escalate complex matters where appropriate and assist with recovery activities when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a positive team culture.

• Previous experience in collections, recoveries, financial services, banking, lending or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to build rapport and navigate challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience within equipment finance, asset finance, leasing or vendor finance environments, highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline.
