MARS Recruitment is partnering with an ASX-listed company to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer for a permanent opportunity. This is an excellent role for someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a stable, growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll
• Manage new starters, terminations, leave administration, payroll adjustments, and employee enquiries
• Complete payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, journals, and payroll reporting
• Ensure payroll compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, and company policies
• Partner with HR, Finance, and operational stakeholders to resolve payroll-related matters
• Assist with reconciliations and general finance administration as required

About You

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Pronto experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, payroll tax, and PAYG
• Previous exposure to accounts payable or finance administration
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
