We're working with a well-regarded business in the resources sector, known for its down-to-earth culture and long-term stability. They are looking for a capable and hands-on Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of the Accounts Payable function.

This is largely a standalone AP position, suited to someone who enjoys taking responsibility and working closely with the wider finance team.

A bit about the role:

• Take ownership of the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
• Ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and on time
• Manage reconciliations, reporting, and supplier statement reviews
• Build and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
• Contribute to month-end close activities where required
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and system efficiencies
• Support ongoing optimisation of finance systems and workflows

What they're hoping you'll bring:

• Around 4+ years' experience in a busy Accounts Payable environment
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle
• Confidence managing an AP function with a high level of ownership
• Strong systems and technical capability, with the ability to work comfortably across finance systems
• Experience with SAP ERP, with SAP S/4HANA highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
