An opportunity is available to join a well-established financial services organisation as a Settlements Officer on a 12-month contract, with genuine potential to extend or convert to permanent.
This role will suit someone with financial or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and takes pride in accuracy and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end settlement of finance contracts, ensuring quality and turnaround targets are met
Reviewing and checking documentation for accuracy and compliance
Authorising and activating contracts
Following up outstanding or irregular documentation
Acting as the first point of contact for settlement-related queries
Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve settlement and compliance issues
Contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
Previous experience in financial administration, settlements, banking, finance, or insurance (preferred but not essential)
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under time pressure
Strong organisational skills with a proactive, self-starting approach
Confident verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
Competent with MS Office and general systems
A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous but not required.
