Based in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. This will be a dayrate contract.

The Role

This is a hands on Senior Data Analyst role within a financial services environment, with a strong emphasis on Power BI, SQL and advanced Excel.

You will build and enhance Power BI dashboards, write robust SQL queries and leverage Excel to deliver actionable insights across IT, operations and transaction monitoring. A key focus will be reporting on IT tickets and operational metrics, alongside supporting AML related monitoring and rule based flagging processes.

This role will suit someone confident building reporting capability in a lower maturity financial services environment and comfortable translating complex system data into clear business insight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Write and optimise SQL queries across core systems
• Use advanced Excel for data analysis and validation
• Deliver reporting across IT ticketing, operations and AML monitoring
• Support rule based flagging and transaction monitoring improvements
• Contribute to uplift of analytics capability

Candidate Experience

• Strong hands on Power BI dashboard development experience
• Advanced SQL writing and data interrogation capability
• Exposure to AML, transaction monitoring or compliance reporting advantageous
