MARS Recruitment is partnering with a global financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Systems Accountant.

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Financial Systems Accountant to support and enhance their core finance systems and reporting capability. This role sits at the intersection of finance, systems and process improvement, supporting a complex, multi-entity environment.

The Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close through system optimisation and automation
• Translate finance and reporting requirements into system configurations and solutions
• Own and administer the organisation's core finance systems and ERP
• Act as the finance SME for system enhancements, upgrades and change initiatives
• Partner with finance, IT and external vendors to resolve issues and improve functionality
• Ensure system controls, data integrity and audit compliance are maintained
• Build, enhance and maintain management and regulatory reporting outputs
• Lead UAT, documentation and change management for system changes
• Identify and implement process efficiencies across finance workflows
• Support integrations between ERP and upstream/downstream systems

The Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (CA / CPA or equivalent)
• Audit background and 3+ years' commercial / industry experience would be highly regarded
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
• Strong experience working with large ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Dynamics)
• Solid understanding of finance processes, controls and reporting
• Comfortable working between finance and technology stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
