MARS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing financial services organisation, who are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis in their Brisbane office, with hybrid work-from-home arrangements. This opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic financial services business and is well suited to someone earlier in their career who is eager to learn and develop.

This role will play a key part in supporting informed financial decision-making, optimising cost management, and enhancing overall business performance.

The Responsibilities:

• Providing financial insights into the performance of the company's operations.
• End-to-end budgeting and forecasting across the business.
• Managing the end-of-month process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Calculating and analysing financial KPIs, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, including industry benchmarking.
• Collaborating with senior leadership and analysts to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Identifying and implementing system and process improvements within the management accounting function.

The Requirements:

• ACCA/CA/CPA/CIMA qualifications would be advantageous.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with inventory accounting (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound commercial acumen with the ability to apply financial insight in a business context.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

• This role is based in Brisbane's inner north with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
