The opportunity
You'll be responsible for your own compliance portfolio end to end, including:
Designing, improving and embedding compliance frameworks
Translating regulatory obligations into practical operational processes
Managing compliance systems
Identifying risks, assessing controls and improving overall control effectiveness
Maintaining compliance registers
Leading compliance training across the business
Supporting customer and marketing communications
Managing regulatory obligations and reporting
Testing controls and supporting the resolution of incidents
Preparing internal and external reporting
Interpreting regulatory changes and advising the business
Participating in audits, investigations and mitigation strategies
Acting as a senior point of contact on compliance matters
This role also plays an important mentoring function. You'll support more junior staff members on the team.

What you'll bring
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Experience in a highly regulated environment, ideally energy or utilities
Proven experience leading the design, execution, and monitoring of compliance frameworks, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical controls, and integrating them into operational processes.
Strong written communication, especially polished external reporting
