MARS Recruitment is teaming up with a financial services firm to recruit a FP&A Manager for a 6-month contract. Our client is looking for a technical Finance Manager who will partner with operational leaders to drive performance, shape financial strategy, and lead innovation. This role combines commercial insight with digital-first thinking, supporting finance leaders in transforming finance operations through process optimisation and cutting-edge technologies such as AI and automation.
The Responsibilities:
Drive improvements in finance operational efficiency through automation and technology-enabled solutions.
Provide guidance on budget assumptions, methodology and financial planning best practice.
Analyse and redesign core finance processes (AP, AR, month-end close, reporting) to remove inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
Map end-to-end processes, identify automation opportunities, and deliver implementation outcomes.
Manage multiple process-improvement initiatives simultaneously, with clear milestones and measurable results.
Build dashboards and performance visualisations to demonstrate improvement impact.
Develop standard operating procedures and process documentation, leveraging team collaboration and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
Act as co-administrator for key finance systems including NetSuite and Concur, ensuring effective system performance and user support.
Support continuation of the FY26 annual budget process through to approval and business-wide communication.
Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to drive informed decision-making.
The Requirements:
CA / CPA / ACCA qualified.
Proficient with financial planning and reporting platforms (e.g., Calumo, Anaplan, Hyperion or similar).
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or equivalent).
Skilled in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
SQL skills, with a strong appetite to further develop technical capability.
5-7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within FP&A or commercial finance.
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
