The Role
This role will suit an Network Engineer with strong Cisco networking experience who enjoys a mix of project work and BAU support. Around 80% of your focus will be on network infrastructure-design, deployment, and optimisation-with the remainder supporting Wintel environments as needed. You'll be involved in networking projects such as site upgrades, new deployments, and security improvements, while also managing day-to-day network operations to ensure reliability and performance. 12 month contract, Melbourne CBD with hybrid WFH.
Responsibilities
Lead and support network projects including infrastructure upgrades, site expansions, and security enhancements.
Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs across multiple sites.
Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Contribute to network documentation, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Provide light support across Wintel systems (Windows Server, AD, Group Policy) as required.
Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
Candidate Experience
Strong networking background with Cisco CCNA-level capability and hands-on project experience.
Skilled across VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), firewalls, and network security.
Some exposure to Wintel environments, though networking remains the main focus.
