MARS Recruitment seeks a Payroll Officer for a temp-to-perm role. Must have NetSuite experience, manage end-to-end payroll, and ensure compliance.
MARS Recruitment has partnered with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, delivering accurate payroll insights, interpreting policies, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Experience with NetSuite is required for this role.
The Responsibilities:
Process monthly payroll for approximately 650 employees.
Prepare and reconcile month-end journals, ensuring accurate and timely calculation and payment of payroll liabilities, including PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation, and employee deductions.
Perform end-of-year payroll reconciliations for group tax, payroll tax, and related obligations, maintaining full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Calculate and process termination and redundancy payments in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
Provide responsive support to employees on payroll queries, including pay discrepancies, personal information updates, and use of the self-service portal.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes affecting payroll, tax, superannuation, and employment law.
The Requirements:
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Must have experience with and be proficient with MS Excel and Netsuite.
Experience in a hands-on role with high levels of attention to detail.
