Day-to-day, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the division, proactively facilitating exceptional service delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is solutions-focused, and committed to driving positive client experiences-both internally and externally.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Accountants, supporting them in acting as the primary operational contacts for their allocated client portfolios and participating in service level reviews and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Oversee timely resolution of client queries, escalating complex issues to the Senior Leadership when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely testing of templates, processes, and system changes to maintain compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Provide transition support for the setup of new portfolios or restructures in accordance with client instructions.
  • Conduct formal supervision and self-assessment testing of procedures and deliverables in line with the risk management framework.
  • Drive and contribute to initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing risk across the business.
  • Deliver ongoing training, coaching, and professional development for team members, while managing their performance and growth.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of management experience within the Australian financial services industry, with strong expertise in financial reporting and APRA compliance, particularly in relation to unit trusts and superannuation funds.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • In-depth knowledge of fund accounting, financial and APRA reporting, and the associated operational risk and compliance requirements within a client service environment.
  • Solid understanding of tax principles as they apply to unit trusts and their impact on unitholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and APRA reporting obligations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

To Note:

  • Flexible work from home arrangements.
  • CBD Location, easily accessible via public transport links.
  • Only considering Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents at this time.
