An Australian based middle-market investment firm with over $1bn of assets under management. The firm undertake active build-and-buy strategies, pursuing high growth markets and distinct business models.

The Opportunity

Our client wishes to appoint an exceptional candidate to join their investment team as an Analyst.

Reporting to the Investment Director, you will play a key role supporting and informing the team of new company investment opportunities. This will entail deal-flow management, market research, and presentation of results.

Key responsibilities also include:

• Modelling and interpreting the financial projections of potential and current investments
• Researching and interpreting technical reports
• Working closely to identify the key issues facing each potential investment
• Develop close relationships with industry bodies and other service providers in the sector
• Entering new investment opportunities into the deal flow system and maintaining
• Preparing valuation reports and assisting with audits and statements for distribution of funds

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum of 3 years' working in similar Buy-Side role and/or with an Investment Bank, Boutique Corporate Advisory Firm, or in-house M&A BD team.
• Top academic results with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or Engineering
• Highly proficient with financial modelling and MS Excel
• Curious, value-driven, commercial mindset with creative problem-solving capabilities
• Organised, with effective project management skills
