MARS Recruitment is partnering with a large Insurance organisation seeking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant on a 9-month contract. This team plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end and quarter-end journals across multiple accounting standards, including US GAAP, IFRS, and APRA.
• Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance and correct system integrations.
• Lead the consolidation of financial results and ensure timely, accurate reporting to Group Finance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and regulatory/tax returns in line with the December year-end cycle.
• Manage corporate tax, GST, and other tax compliance in collaboration with external tax advisors.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and maintain appropriate transfer pricing arrangements.

Requirements & Notes:

• CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.
• Financial Services or Insurance experience would be advantageous.
• Flexible work from home arrangements.
• Requires at least 3 years commerical experience.
