The services will be provided to children, adolescents and adults and will involve travel to remote communities.

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have the ability to work alongside both children and adults and assist in achieving goals collaboratively.
  • Have the ability to offer high quality therapy services and develop and implement effective therapy programs to assist your clients in working toward their individual goals.
  • Be able to assess, review and report on Home Modifications for simple and complex cases.
  • Assist with the tailoring of plans to allow patients to achieve specific goals by providing clear feedback and embracing innovation to deliver small victories and life- changing results.
  • Be passionate, empathetic and understanding.

Essential criteria:

  • Previous experience working with NDIS clients and in a private practice is preferred. e.g. able to operate in a billable hours model.
  • Demonstrated strong team work ethics
  • Experience with psycho-social assessments
  • Understanding and knowledge of sensory processing
  • Experience working with Children ages 2 years and up with a range of disabilities (Highly desirable)
  • Experience with Equipment prescription and Home Modification Assessments. Completion of the NDIS qualification in Home Mods
  • Experience conducting various OT assessments and writing Assessment Reports
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • APHRA registration
  • Have an OHCRE card and Current Criminal History Check (not older than 3 months)
  • Be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number
