MARS recruitment are currently partnering with a high-growth, well-backed, financial services business who have a proven formula for growth globally and looking to apply that in the Sydney market. With a blueprint suited to a market similar to the one we currently find ourselves in, this organisation are looking to bring on motivated, self starters who see themselves as adaptable and approaching challenges head-on.

The role will see you wearing a few hats, mainly FP&A and Financial Accounting but also give you some unique exposure to strategy, project management, exec meetings and the like. This is a role suited to an individual who has recently completed their CA and looking to kick-start their career.

In this role you will:

• Preparing the month-end journals according to the checklist
• Prepare variance analysis
• Review significant transactions
• Preparation of the tax calculations, BAS returns and annual tax returns and dealing with queries from the tax team
• Investigating and help to clean up the GL reconciliation issues
• Other ad hoc duties as required.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships internally

Profile of successful candidate;

• 3+ years’ experience in a chartered accounting environment
• CA qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to speak with senior stakeholders
• Convey a strong interest in progressing outside of chartered accounting
