My client is seeking a Lead Generation Specialist to support the Multinational Business Sales team. This is an early career role where the candidate can learn and contribute to the sales and marketing efforts of an established high technology company in the software industry. Lead Generation Specialists help create, nurture, and maintain customer relationships. Lead Generation Specialists work closely with Marketing and SMB Sales Executives in a variety of ways.

Role and Responsibilities:

Account profiling:

The candidate will work with Sales Execs and Marketing to identify target prospects or to better understand existing customer environments. Tasks range from general research around the business issues and competitive environments facing targets to compiling clean contact information and organizational information of targets. The goal is assess potential opportunities.

Appointment setting:

The candidate will work with Sales Execs and Marketing to identify ideas for making or enhancing contact with customers and prospects. Potential activities could include phone or email based outreach, responding to in-bound inquiries, design, and execution of targeted marketing campaigns, or invitation for meetings at events or trade shows. The goal is to arrange appointments for sales executives to meet with the right contacts at relevant customers and prospects.

Lead acceleration:

The candidate will work at the direction of Sales Execs and Marketing to nurture relationships with customers and prospects. Creative thinking, discipline and motivation are key elements of success in this aspect of the job. Tasks could range from helping prepare messaging and PowerPoints, to drafting emails, to preparing references, to assisting with business case analysis. The goal is to assist sales executives in attaining their revenue targets.

Lead Acceleration Specialists will gain significant experience in both selling and marketing in a successful high technology company.

  • Relevant professional experience
  • Interest in developing a technology sales or marketing career
  • Motivation to pursue a career in either sales or marketing
  • Proficiency using Outlook & Microsoft Office: Strong PowerPoint & Excel skills
  • Experience using Salesforce or CRM software
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Collaborative mindset & team-player attitude: Desire to work closely with sales and marketing teams
