MARS are proudly partnering with a highly regarded ASX listed Investment Management firm in Sydney’s CBD. With a presence across Australia, the U.S, Europe and Asia, this company boasts a global presence and a strong brand name in its field.

They’re looking to hire a personable and articulate individual to join the business, having ownership of managing external vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, as well as some transactional finance and reconciliations. It’s a very broad role and they’re happy to consider a wide range of profiles whether it’s a fresh grad that’s switched on and eager to learn, or someone with a few years’ experience in either client relationship management or accounting.


The Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, allocating to the correct division and reconciling on accounts
  • Full ownership of the contract execution process including vendor negotiations
  • Create reports and dashboards for finance and management teams
  • Build strong relationships and influence senior internal stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Investment Analysts, COOs, CFOs, Project Managers, and Investment Directors
  • Manage and report costs versus the agreed budget
  • Renewal of existing data and software contracts
  • Working with business stakeholders to source new contracts and services
  • ‘Know Your Vendor’ onboarding and ongoing due diligence of existing vendors
  • Conduct regular service reviews with suppliers, documenting product road maps and other relevant vendor information


The Requirements:

  • Tertiary education and/or 2+ years in a similar function – either Accounts or Client Relationship Management
  • Strong relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority
  • Willingness to learn about the market data landscape including vendors, product offerings, pricing and industry-wide issues
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with a personable telephone manner
  • Budget management and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Intermediate Excel (essential) and FITS and/or Tableau experience (beneficial)
