Are you a student in Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy looking for an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and professional growth? Or are you an experience Therapy Assistant with experience in working with Speech Therapists? We have a fantastic role for a Therapy Assistant to work alongside a highly experienced Speech Pathologist in the community, servicing both private and NDIS clients south of the river in Perth.


About the Role:
This unique position offers excellent mentoring and personal development opportunities. You will work closely with a Speech Pathologist who has 18 years of experience, providing you with invaluable insights and guidance as you support clients within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech Pathologist in delivering high-quality speech therapy services.
  • Support both private and NDIS clients with their therapy needs.
  • Conduct assessments and help implement treatment plans under the guidance of the Speech Pathologist.
  • Participate in telehealth sessions and in-person visits.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Therapy Assistant OR a current student in Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Drivers licence and access to a vehicle
  • Eagerness to learn and develop your skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate and effective care to all clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Self motivated
