Full-time and Contracting opportunities for a mobile speech pathologist in the Greater Sydney area – Above award rate salaries on offer!

My client is in search for a Speech Pathologist to join their team and provide mobile assessment and therapy to their clients in the Greater Western and Western suburbs of Sydney, across a range of environments/locations that is optimal for their client and allows for generalisation of new skills to occur. They are open to Full time employment and Sub-contractors (Flexible work arrangements, work your own schedule, they can fit around you)

They work side by side their clients’ support network in developing and implementing their clients’ therapy goals. Communication and swallowing assessment and intervention is carried out across pre-schools, day care centres, day programs, supported workplaces, primary schools, high schools, aged care facilities and clients’ homes.

  • Work directly with NDIS participants – previous NDIS experience advantageous
  • Undertake comprehensive functional informal and formal assessments
  • Conduct interventions to promote independent living

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure methods of service delivery are premised on current evidence-based practice, and are delivered within the hours and resources presented within participants individual plan;
  • Demonstrate competency in assessment and measurement skills, including collection of client information and selection of appropriate assessment tools;
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families/carer’s
  • Ensure that organisational requirements are met in accordance with customer expectations and participant caseload allocation.
  • Participation in clinical and professional development
  • Adhere and implement continual improvement initiatives
  • Participate in clinical supervision/mentorship
  • Conducting individual and group services

Requirements of the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
  • Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Commitment to providing quality services and care to children and adults living with a Disability
  • Experience in the assessment, planning and monitoring of interventions in the areas of communication, mealtime management and eating
  • NSW Driver’s License and own car (travel allowance paid)
  • New Graduate Program available
